You’re Only Human: Permission to Not Crush It Every Day

Published on: 21st January, 2026

It's totally okay if you don't feel motivated today; that’s the main vibe we’re laying down in this chat. I mean, who decided that every single day has to be a hustle? Some days, motivation doesn’t show up, and that’s perfectly human. We dive into how it’s okay to take a step back, have those slow days, and not tie your self-worth to your productivity. So, if you’re feeling a bit off, remember to give yourself that permission slip to chill and take it easy. Your worth isn’t riding on how much you get done, and we’re here to remind you of that.

Takeaways:

  1. It's totally cool if you're not feeling motivated today; that's just part of being human.
  2. We all have those days where energy is low, and the to-do list feels overwhelming, and that's perfectly fine.
  3. Permission slips are a thing; we can choose to take a slow day and chill without guilt.
  4. Your productivity levels don't determine your worth; you're allowed to have off days without feeling bad about it.

It's okay if you don't feel motivated today.

Speaker A:

I don't know when we all decided that every day has to be productive, that we have to crush it.

Speaker A:

Be inspired.

Speaker A:

Be in forward motion all the time.

Speaker A:

Some days, motivation just doesn't show up.

Speaker A:

It's not because you're lazy, not because you're failing, but because you're just human.

Speaker A:

I've had plenty of days where the to do list is long, but the energy just isn't there and pushing through.

Speaker A:

Sometimes it just backfires.

Speaker A:

Sometimes you just need a slow day, a maintenance day, a do the bare minimum and call it good day.

Speaker A:

And that's okay.

Speaker A:

Your worth isn't tied to how motivated you feel today.

Speaker A:

You're allowed to ebb and flow.

Speaker A:

You're allowed to have off days without making it mean something big.

Speaker A:

So today, if you're not feeling it, that's okay.

Speaker A:

Rest is allowed.

Speaker A:

Stillness is allowed.

Speaker A:

So if you're up for it, tell yourself, I give myself permission to not feel motivated today.

Speaker A:

That doesn't make me less worthy.

Speaker A:

That's your permission slip, friend.

Speaker A:

Tuck it in your pocket and I'll see you next time.
